goats, bubble-butts, etc. by ancret goats, bubble-butts, etc. by ancret
This drawing is probably not as inappropriate as you were expecting, so, uhhh, sorry.

This time the prompt was something along the lines of "you don't draw a lot of animals; draw a [mountain?] goat," and I suppose it's true that, usually, if I draw an animal, it ends up being pretty anthropomorphic. Anyway, I drew the goat in the foreground, but quickly decided that he needed some friends and I guess also a keeper in inappropriate attire. I'm still trying to get the hang of using gradients in ways that don't make my drawings look like crap.

I can't resist a herding image.

...Which kind of makes me want to draw a less goofy herding pic, now. :3

I like how you depicted the landscape. I probably like it because it looks so very peaceful and secure.
Oh and it kinda reminds me of the Brackenwood flash videos.

I hope so -- I'm out of school for the next four months, and my job doesn't give me any homework, so I'm looking forward to doing lots of drawing. :)

That's definitely some good news.
But why're you out of school? And will we see some more of Aldus?
So many questions and I realize how obnoxious that has to be so let me end at this point. Good luck with everything!

Heh, I'm flattered that people are interested in that sort of thing, really.

I've just finished up my BA (honors English lit. + French minor), and I have a four-month break before I move to Montreal to start my Master's studies. I have a job but I'm not currently getting many hours, so it leaves me a lot of time to read/research and draw.

I want to say I'll draw more Aldus because I'm still fond of some of the ideas, but I won't have the time to continue with it come September and I don't think it's very fair to the comic's audience to lead them on.

Congrats to the degree!
And you're absolutely right about the comic. Shame it ended this way. Just like Feyenne. Well that's how it goes I guess. Still, I must say I enjoyed it while it lasted. :D
Well I'm looking forward to more art of yours.
Cheers.

Aw, thanks. Yeah, I was thinking about my comic track record and I felt pretty ashamed -- but I make the same mistake every few years: I hit a lull in my workload and I think "Gee, I suuure would love to draw a comic!", forgetting that it always picks up again. :(

Man those goats are really excellent. I like the dog too. The guy sure is inappropriately dressed.
